The Assistant

“Good morning Suzanne,” came Thomas Henry’s greeting to his trusted employee.  “You’ll be out of the office most of today. I have a list of items that I’d like you to purchase for me then see that they are personally hand delivered tomorrow to each recipient.

Let us begin.  It is imperative that you complete this task in the strictest of confidence. I ask that you use the utmost discretion.

Your first stop is to a well-respected Chocolatier in Knightsbridge where you shall pick up a small box of perfection, undoubtedly exquisitely wrapped.

Your next location is to Kiki de Montparnesse. It’s a little obvious I know, but. Pick out a set of black panties, bra, garter belt and stockings. In addition see if they have any dusting powder, oh and handcuffs.

These garments are to be worn by an incredibly confident, assertive full-bodied woman. Be sure the items you purchase reflect this.

Next go across town to Highgate and pick up a fist edition that I have on hold at Chevalier’s Rare Books. Make sure it is wrapped in simple brown paper, nothing fancy.

Your last stop is to a private residence in Hackney. Franklin, my driver has the address. A gentleman named Ali has made a twenty-four carat gold chain meant to adorn a woman’s waist to rest lightly on the hips to be precise. Be careful it is rather delicate. Buy an appropriate gift box, as presentation is not Monsieur Ali’s forte.

Now, the chocolates are for Camile. The card attached should read. Camile, my one, true Valentine. I love you like no other. Tom.

The undergarments are for Sophie. The card attached should read. Sophie, my one, true Valentine. I love you like no other. Tom

The first edition is for Mila. The card attached should read. Mila, my one, true Valentine. I love you like no other. Tom

Lastly the gold chain is for Khadija. The attached card should read. Khadija, my one, true Valentine. I love you like no other. Tom.

Tomorrow being February 14th, have Frank drive you to each female’s residence for delivery of gifts, however, not before picking up five accompanying arrangements from our usual florist.

 And Suzanne–reveal nothing.
